The bamboo forest will welcome us with a 500-meter walking trail. During this walk along the trail, we will enjoy pleasant moments accompanied by the sound of the wind passing through the bamboos. Next, we proceed to Kinkakuji Temple. Known as the "Golden Pavilion," this structure was built in the 14th century as a villa for Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu and later converted into a Zen temple after his death. The most striking feature of the temple is that its upper two floors are entirely covered in gold leaf; when this magnificent sight reflects onto the Kyoko-chi (Mirror Pond) located in front of the temple, the view becomes almost fairy-tale-like. Kinkakuji inspires admiration in visitors not only for its architecture but also for its meticulously landscaped Japanese garden and tranquil natural surroundings. Todaiji is especially famous for the Daibutsu (Great Buddha), the world's largest bronze Buddha statue. This colossal statue is housed within the Daibutsuden (Great
Buddha Hall) at the center of the temple. The hall itself is also notable as one of the largest wooden structures in the world. Approximately 1,000 Sika deer, a native Japanese deer species, live in the park, and these deer are revered by the local people as sacred. According to legend, the deer were placed under protection because a deity once came to Nara in the form of a deer. Visitors can purchase special "shika senbei" deer crackers from stalls in the park and feed these adorable animals. The deer are very accustomed to tourists and are known for occasionally bowing slightly as if greeting them. Later, we explore Kobe, Japan's sixth-largest city with a population of about 1.5 million. This port city blends modern urban fabric with traditional Japanese culture, offering guests an enjoyable journey with its elegant atmosphere and well-organized layout. Our first stop is Kobe Mosaic, one of the most popular spots in the harbor area.
