Meeting at the Turkish Airlines counter in Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal 3 hours before departure. After baggage, ticket and passport procedures, we will depart for Malta at 08:00 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1369. Upon our arrival at 08:30 local time, we will begin our city tour of the capital Valletta with our vehicle waiting for us in the area. After our tour around the city walls by vehicle, we will explore the city on its vibrant streets. Our first stop will be the Barrakka Gardens, built on the upper section of the defensive walls surrounding this magnificent city. These gardens, constructed by the Knights of St. John, offer views of the Grand Harbour and the three old cities surrounded by walls. We will then continue our tour. St. John's Co-Cathedral, the Grand Master's Palace, and the Parliament Building are among the places to visit. After our tour, we will transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
After the breakfast served at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Grand Gozo Island Tour (80 Euro). We depart early in the morning from Cirkewwa Port in the north of Gozo, Malta's second-largest island. During our approximately half-hour ferry ride, we will also see the small islands of Comino and Cominotto. Upon arrival, our tour will include Ta' Pinu Church, Dwejra, the Inland Sea, the Mushroom Rock, and the fishing village of Marsalforn. Finally, we will visit the island's capital, Victoria. After seeing the central church, city walls, Palace of Justice, and Bishop's Palace, we will have free time in the city before returning to Malta by ferry. Transfer back to our hotel after the tour. Our tour will take us to the central region of Malta, dominated by the historic Mdina Fortress. During our visit to Mdina, Malta's former capital with significant historical importance, we will have the opportunity to enjoy nearly panoramic 360-degree views of the island from the city's waters. Next, we will visit the historic town of Mosta, located in the heart of Malta. Mosta is famous for its impressive Rotunda Church (Mosta Dome). This church, featuring a massive dome built without internal supports, is considered miraculous because a bomb that fell inside it during World War II failed to explode. After our tour, our next stop will be Marsaxlokk, a traditional fishing village. Named after the Arabic word "marsa" meaning "harbor" and the southeast wind "xlokk," this town is known for its harbor filled with traditionally painted luzzu boats, its lifestyle intertwined with the sea, and its seafood restaurants. Following this, we will visit the Three Cities (Vittoriosa – Senglea – Cospicua). These cities feature narrow stone streets, structures surrounded by walls, baroque churches, and walking paths offering sea views. They were the first area settled by the Knights of Malta in the 16th century and formed the backbone of the island's military defense line. Each city bears traces of the knights' history, Ottoman sieges, and Malta's maritime heritage. After the tour, transfer back to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After the breakfast served at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Grand Popeye Village Tour (65 Euro). Built as the set for the world-famous 1980 film "Popeye," this village has now been transformed into an open-air museum and amusement park. This charming village made of wooden houses offers many activities for both film enthusiasts and families, including interactive shows, playgrounds, and boat tours. Afterwards, transfer to the airport at the time determined by the guide. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK1372 at 19:55. Arrival at 00:20 local time and end of our tour.
