Meeting 3 hours before departure in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal. After baggage, ticket and passport procedures, we depart for Basel at 08:50 on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1923. Upon arrival in Basel at 10:00 local time, we proceed to Strasbourg, one of France's most beautiful cities and the pearl of the Alsace region, with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. While exploring Strasbourg, you will feel as if you are traveling through history in Europe's largest cobblestone medieval district. With its fairy-tale-like nature and historical structures, wooden houses, medieval churches, cathedrals, and numerous works of art, it is a place well worth seeing. Additionally, Strasbourg holds historical importance as the place where the French national anthem "La Marseillaise" was written; it appears as a city where French architecture blends with Alsatian culture. During our city tour, you can visit Strasbourg Cathedral, Rohan Palace, Kleber Square, and optionally join the Grand Tour of Fairy Tale Villages of Alsace (Eguisheim & Colmar & Kaysersberg & Riquewihr) scheduled as an extra activity. (110 Euro) We will want to take photos at every opportunity from start to finish during our tour. The first place we will visit is Eguisheim. Awarded the title of "Favorite French Village" in 2013, Eguisheim is a village where history and nature dance together. Its colorful houses reflecting the typical architecture of the Alsace region create Eguisheim's postcard view. After our tour, we head to Colmar, famous for its medieval historical buildings, Gothic-style churches, and vibrant houses. While strolling through Colmar's streets that have been very well preserved until today, notable sights include St. Martin Cathedral built entirely of pink stone, Petite Venise (Little Venice) with its small canals reminiscent of Italy's Venice, Maison Pfister among Colmar's oldest houses, and Maison des Têtes, a Renaissance building adorned with faces. Our third stop on the tour is Kaysersberg. Kaysersberg is a charming part of the Alsace region, a town dating back to the Middle Ages. It is famous for its colorful houses, narrow streets, and historic character. Especially the Château de Kaysersberg castle, dating from the 13th century, is one of the town's most prominent symbols. Located in the center of the town, Sainte-Croix Church stands out with its Gothic architecture. After our tour, we move to our final stop, Riquewihr, one of the most enchanting cities of Alsace, known for its many half-timbered houses that give the town its charm. This historic village enchants visitors with its old houses decorated with colorful flowers, narrow streets, and a medieval atmosphere surrounded by walls. During our tour, we will also see the ruins of Riquewihr Castle and walk along the village's old walls to experience the medieval atmosphere. After our tour, we transfer to our hotel. After the breakfast served at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish can join the additional Grand Germany Duo (Heidelberg & Baden Baden & Outlet Center) tour. (110 Euro). Our tour's first stop is Heidelberg. The streets, squares, and buildings of this city will take you on a journey through time while evoking the Middle Ages at every corner. Calm, stylish, and refined, Heidelberg will welcome you with its harmony of architecture and colors. During our city tour here, Hauptstrasse, Marktplatz Square, Old Bridge, and Heidelberg Castle are among the places to visit. After our tour, our second stop is Baden Baden, an oxygen reservoir immersed in nature, a center for culture and art, thermal baths, and even home to one of Europe's most famous casinos, offering countless opportunities. After visiting Baden Baden, a unique international travel route that has inspired many famous writers and composers, we have free time at the outlet center where many renowned brands are gathered together. After the tour, transfer back to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
After the breakfast served at the hotel, free time is available. Guests who wish can join the optional Grand Schaffhausen Rhine Falls and Swiss Cities (Rhine Falls & Zurich & Lucerne) tour for an additional fee (130 Euro). Our first stop, the natural wonder of Rhine Falls, holds the title of Europe's largest waterfall with a width of 150 meters and a height of 23 meters. This place, embraced by the powerful currents of the Rhine River, is a paradise where you will find peace while watching the dance of the crystal-clear waters. After our enchanting walk amidst the power of the water and its impressive scenery, our second stop is Zurich, Switzerland's largest city, which welcomes millions of visitors each year with its historic center, stunning Gothic-style churches, and historic buildings. After visiting Grossmünster and Fraumünster Churches and St. Peterskirche Church, home to Europe's largest clock tower, we tour Bahnhofstrasse, considered the city's shopping district. Following the tour, we head to Lucerne, a historic city located in central Switzerland at the foot of the Alps. In this enchanting city, after seeing the Lion Monument built in memory of 800 Swiss soldiers who died protecting King Louis XVI and his family, the Chapel Bridge, and the magnificent views of Lake Lucerne, we conclude our tour and transfer to our hotel. Overnight stay at our hotel in Strasbourg or its surroundings.
After breakfast, rooms are vacated and we depart for Freiburg. Freiburg, Germany's fourth-largest city, is a medieval town steeped in history, located near the Black Forest and captivating visitors with its natural beauty. During our city tour here, we will visit landmarks including Münster Cathedral, the symbol of the city and one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture; Markthalle (Covered Market); Münsterplatz (Grand Square); Rathausplatz; Kaiser Joseph Street; Augustiner Platz; Adelhauser Platz; and Gerberau. After the tour, we proceed to Basel. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Basel, Switzerland's third-most populous city after Zurich and Geneva, is a magnificent city that combines modern and historical elements; though small in area, it holds many treasures. During our city tour here, we will visit Basel Cathedral, where the tomb of the famous Renaissance writer Dutch Erasmus lies; the city's main square, Marktplatz; the Government Building; and Hotel Les Trois Roi. After the tour, we head to Basel Airport. Following baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK1926 at 18:05. Arrival at local time 23:15 marks the end of our tour.
