Meeting at the Turkish Airlines counter in the Istanbul Airport international departures terminal 3 hours before departure. After baggage, ticket and passport procedures, we depart for Zurich on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1907 at 08:40. Upon our arrival at 09:45 local time, our Zurich city tour begins with the vehicle waiting for us at the airport. The historic center, with its striking Gothic-style churches and historical buildings, welcomes millions of visitors every year. After visiting Grossmünster and Fraumünster Churches and St. Peterskirche Church, home to Europe's largest clock tower, we tour Bahnhofstrasse, considered the city's shopping center. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Then guests who wish may join the optional Grand Rhine Falls & Lucerne tour. (80 Euro) Our first stop is the natural wonder Rhine Falls, which holds the title of Europe's largest waterfall with a width of 150 meters and a height of 23 meters. This place, embraced by the powerful currents of the Rhine River, is a paradise where you can find peace while watching the dance of the crystal-clear waters. After our enchanting walk with the power of water and impressive scenery, we head to Lucerne, a historic city located in central Switzerland at the foot of the Alps. In this magical city, after seeing the Lion Monument built in memory of 800 Swiss soldiers who died protecting King Louis XVI and his family, the Chapel Bridge and the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne, we conclude our tour and transfer to our hotel. After the breakfast we will have at the hotel, we head to Basel. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Basel, the third most populous city in Switzerland after Zurich and Geneva, is a magnificent city that combines both modern and historical textures; although small in area, it holds many treasures within. During our city tour, we will visit notable sites such as Basel Cathedral, which houses the tomb of the famous Renaissance writer Erasmus from the Netherlands, the main square Marktplatz, the Government Building, and Hotel Les Trois Roi. After our tour, guests who wish may join an additional Grand Tour of the Fairy Tale Villages of Alsace (Riquewihr, Kaysersberg & Colmar & Eguisheim). (100 Euro) Our first stop on this tour is Riquewihr, one of the most enchanting cities of Alsace, known for its numerous half-timbered houses that give the town its charm. This historic village captivates visitors with its colorful flower-adorned old houses, narrow streets, and medieval atmosphere surrounded by walls. During our tour, we will also see the ruins of Riquewihr Castle and walk along the old fortifications of the village to experience the medieval ambiance. Next, we proceed to Kaysersberg. Kaysersberg is a charming part of the Alsace region, a town dating back to the Middle Ages in France. It is famous for its colorful houses, narrow streets, and historical texture. Especially the Château de Kaysersberg Castle, dating from the 13th century, is one of the most prominent symbols of the town. The Sainte-Croix Church located in the center of the city stands out with its Gothic architecture. After our tour, we head to Colmar, famous for its medieval buildings, Gothic-style churches, and colorful houses. While strolling through Colmar’s well-preserved streets, we will visit St. Martin Cathedral, built entirely from pink stone, Petite Venise (Little Venice), which reminds us of Italy’s Venice with its small canals, Maison Pfister, one of Colmar’s oldest houses, and Maison des Têtes, a Renaissance building adorned with faces. Our next stop on the tour is Eguisheim, a place where you will want to take photos at every opportunity. In 2013, Eguisheim was awarded the title of ‘‘Favorite French Village’’, a village where history and nature dance together. Its colorful houses reflecting the typical architecture of the Alsace region create the postcard view of Eguisheim. After our tour, we transfer to Mulhouse or our hotel in the surrounding area. After the breakfast we will have at the hotel, we head towards Bern. Bern, the capital of Switzerland, offers visitors a magical atmosphere with its historic city center on the UNESCO World Heritage List, streets preserving their medieval character, stone buildings, arched passages, and fountains. During our tour, the Clock Tower, the old town known as Europe's largest covered shopping area, Einstein's House, the History Museum, the Parliament building and its square are among the places to be seen panoramically. After our tour, we move towards Geneva. Geneva, one of Switzerland's most cosmopolitan cities, is located in the west of the country on the shores of Lake Geneva and is very close to the French border. The city, which holds great importance in international diplomacy, hosts the headquarters of the United Nations European Office, the Red Cross, and many international organizations. In the city tour we will do here, Lake Leman, Mont Blanc Bridge, the Great Cathedral, the United Nations and Red Cross buildings, Notre Dame and the old town are among the places to be seen. After our tour, guests who wish can join the Extra Grand Lausanne – Ouchy – Montreux and Chillon Castle Tour organized additionally. (80 Euro) In our tour, our first stop is the city of Lausanne, located on the shores of Lake Geneva, which has historical importance for our country. Among the places we will see are Lausanne Cathedral, the Old Town (Vielle Ville), which is the historic center of the city, and Flon, a modern shopping and entertainment district. Then we move towards Ouchy. Once a fishing village, Ouchy was incorporated into the city of Lausanne from the mid-19th century onwards due to its role as a port on Lake Geneva. This peaceful and beautiful area famous for its lake views features the enchanting Château d'Ouchy and Ouchy Port among the places to be seen. Our final stop on the tour will be Montreux, another peaceful spot on the shores of Lake Geneva. In this town, famous for its relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, mountain views, and walking paths along the lake, Chillon Castle (exterior view), the statue of Freddy Mercury, lead singer of the Queen music group, and Montreux Port are among the places we will see. After our tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at hotels in Geneva or its surroundings.
After breakfast, rooms are to be vacated and transfer to the airport will take place at the time indicated by our guide. Following baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure for Istanbul is made via Turkish Airlines flight TK1920 at 18:25. Arrival at 23:45 local time marks the end of our tour.
