After baggage, ticket and passport procedures, we depart for Madrid at 12:10 on AJet Airlines flight VF605. Upon arrival at 16:05 local time, our city tour of Madrid begins with our vehicle waiting for us in the area. Madrid, the capital of Spain, is among the most visited cities in Spain due to its rich history and culture. During our city tour here, we will see the Bullring (exterior), Puerta de Alcalá and Independence Square, the Cibeles Monument, the famous Grand Via street, Bernabeu Stadium, Plaza Castilla, Atocha Train Station, the famous Prado Museum (exterior), the statues of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza at Plaza de Espana, the Royal Palace (exterior), the nine-arched Plaza Mayor, and Sol Square. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Seville. Along the way, guests who wish may additionally join a spectacularly arranged Toledo Tour (70 Euro). Located approximately 70 kilometers from Madrid, Toledo is a UNESCO-protected historic city that has been home to diverse cultures of the Iberian Peninsula, bearing traces of Roman, Visigothic, Muslim, and Christian civilizations. Renowned for its magnificent medieval architecture and cultural heritage, this open-air museum will take us through narrow historic streets where we will see Spain's oldest cathedral, the Toledo Cathedral (exterior), churches converted from Andalusian mosques, and countless other wonders. After our tour, we proceed to Écija. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Écija is a historic city in southern Spain, located in the Andalusia region and belonging to the province of Seville. Often called "The Peacock of Andalusia" or "The City of Towers," Écija is famous for its rich Baroque architecture and magnificent historical buildings. Known as "Astigi" during the Roman era, it was one of the important centers of the Hispania Ulterior province. The city also became a significant cultural and economic center during the Umayyad period of Andalusia. Today, walking through Écija's streets, one can feel a historic atmosphere filled with elegant palaces, churches, and tall bell towers dating back to the Baroque period. Especially the Santa María and San Juan churches, dating from the 18th century, are among the finest examples of Baroque art. For travelers interested in history, art, and traditional Andalusian architecture, Écija is like a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. While strolling through the city's narrow streets, traces from both the Roman and Islamic periods can be found. After our tour, we head back to Seville. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Seville is a city renowned for its historical and cultural richness in the Andalusia region of Spain. During our city tour along the banks of the Guadalquivir River, we will first visit Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de América, which includes the Plaza de España. We will then see the Seville Cathedral (exterior), the world's third-largest cathedral, which houses Christopher Columbus's tomb. Right next to the cathedral stands the Giralda Minaret, the last remaining part of the mosque upon which the cathedral was built, commemorating the Andalusian Umayyad Caliphate. Also on our list is the Alcazar Palace (exterior), the former palace of the Castilian kings. Later, passing through the Archives of the Indies, where records of all sea voyages to the Americas up to the 19th century were kept, we will reach the old narrow streets of the Santa Cruz neighborhood, known as "Old Seville." At the end of our walk, after seeing the Torre del Oro (Golden Tower)—formerly a tobacco factory, now serving as the central campus of the University of Seville and currently housing a maritime museum—we will transfer to our hotel. Seville is one of the birthplaces of flamenco and is considered one of the most important centers of Spanish flamenco culture. The city is famous for traditional flamenco performances, dance studios, and flamenco festivals and events. (140 Euro) Cordoba is a historic city located in the Andalusia region of Spain. It is famous for its historical and cultural richness, impressive architecture, and structures bearing traces of Andalusian Islamic culture. We will reach Cordoba via a 1.5-hour journey, where we will first be greeted by the Guadalquivir River. Crossing the historic Roman bridge and passing through the Roman gate, we will enter the city. The most magnificent structure of this 2,000-year-old city is the Great Mosque of Cordoba, one of the largest mosques in the world, rising on 850 columns. Entering it, accompanied by our guide, we will witness the grandeur of this magnificent masterpiece while receiving impressive information. After our tour of the Cordoba Mosque, we will continue on foot, seeing the pristine old streets, the old inn reflecting all the delicacies of Andalusian architecture, and the houses of Cordoba. After the tour here, our second stop is Mijas, a charming and traditional mountain town located in the Málaga province of the Andalusia region in southern Spain, famous especially for its white-washed houses. Located near the coast of Costa del Sol, Mijas stands out with both its sea views and its historical texture. Mijas Pueblo, that is, the historic part of the town, offers a postcard-like image with its narrow streets typical of Andalusian architecture, balconies decorated with flowers, and white-washed houses. After our tour, guests who wish can join the Extra Grand Alhambra Palace Tour. The Alhambra Palace, one of Granada's greatest treasures, is one of the most striking and impressive examples of Andalusian Islamic architecture. As one of the most visited historical sites in Spain, the Alhambra is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has gained worldwide fame. This famous monument was begun to be built in the 13th century as a defensive fortress and palace on a plateau atop the Sabika hill overlooking Granada, and construction continued until the 15th century. Due to the red earth used in its construction, it took on a reddish color and was named Alhambra, meaning "Red". After our tour, transfer back to our hotel. With its grand architecture, colorful streets, delicious cuisine, and lively nightlife, Barcelona attracts millions of visitors each year. The city is like an open-air museum adorned with Antoni Gaudi's unique works. During our city tour in this beautiful city, places to visit include La Sagrada Familia Church, the Christopher Columbus Statue, La Ramblas Street, Spain and Catalunya Squares, the Bullring, and the Olympic Port. Then, we ascend to Montjuic Hill, which offers much more than just panoramic views of Barcelona. Located in northeastern Catalonia, about 100 kilometers north of Barcelona, Girona is a historic city famous for its medieval narrow streets, historical buildings, museums, churches, and walls. On our tour here, we will visit the Lion Statue, Cathedral Square, and the famous Jewish Quarter (El Call). After the tour, we head towards the city of Figueres. Figueres, located northeast of Girona, is known as the birthplace of Salvador Dalí. The city is closely associated with the life and works of the famous Spanish painter Salvador Dalí. The most important tourist site in Figueres is the Salvador Dalí Museum. Dalí established a museum here to leave something behind in his birthplace and exhibit his works. Today, this museum holds the largest collection of Dalí's works, and since Dalí designed every part of it, it is referred to as his greatest architectural work. The museum contains over 4,000 works created by Dalí using various techniques. After the tour, we return to Barcelona. One of Antoni Gaudí's magnificent works, Park Guell is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known as the fairy-tale park, it creates a magical atmosphere with its colorful staircases and fantasy pavilions. After seeing Gaudí's magnificent masterpiece, our second stop is the Gothic Quarter. In the Gothic Quarter, you can feel the enchanting atmosphere of the Middle Ages through its narrow and labyrinthine medieval streets, Gothic churches, romantic squares, and Roman walls, while admiring the historic fabric. Among the most important buildings in the quarter are the Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Reial (Royal Square), Plaça del Rei (King's Square), and La Rambla. After the tour, we transfer back to our hotel. After the breakfast we will have at the hotel, we depart for the airport at the time determined by the guide. After baggage, ticket and passport procedures, we depart for Ankara with Ajet Airlines flight VF608 at 14:20. Arrival at 20:20 local time and the end of our tour.
