Bus Tour to Alexandroupolis (Dedeağaç) 1 Night 2 Days
Day 1 – Saturday | Istanbul – Alexandroupolis (Dedeağaç)
We set off at 05:00 in the morning from Kadıköy Marriage Office, at 05:30 from in front of Mecidiyeköy Square/Bambi Cafe, at 06:00 from in front of İncirli Ömür Plaza, at 06:30 from in front of Beylikdüzü Marmara Park Shopping Mall, and at 07:00 from in front of Silivri Vega Center. (You must be present at the specified locations no later than 15 minutes before the departure times.) Upon arrival after approximately a 3-hour journey, we complete customs and passport procedures and then cross into Greece, arriving at the center of Alexandroupolis (Dedeağaç) after a half-hour journey. After the free time we will provide in the center to enjoy Dedeağaç, we go to the hotel. Free time after settling into the rooms. Guests who wish may join the Lidl Market & Jumbo Shopping Center organization to be arranged as an Extra. (20.-€) At 20:00 in the evening, we go back to the center of Dedeağaç to have dinner and explore the nightlife. Departure time for returning to the hotel is 23:00. Return to the hotel and overnight stay. Those who wish may get off at Thraki Casino on the way and try their luck in games of chance. (The return is by individual taxi!)
Day 2 – Sunday | Alexandroupolis – Porto Lagos – Xanthi – Komotini
We start the day with a pleasant Sunday breakfast continuing until 10:30. Guests who wish may join the WESTERN THRACE tour to be arranged as an Extra. (35.-€) After breakfast, guests joining the tour vacate their rooms at 09:30, and we begin the tour with a journey of approximately 1 hour to the enchanting Porto Lagos, consisting of the sea on one side and a lake and forest on the other. Here, after seeing the Agios Nikolas Church and taking a photo break, we depart for Xanthi (İskeçe). In Xanthi, an important settlement where the Western Thrace Turks live, we take a short panoramic walking tour through the old bazaar, consisting of traditional old Turkish houses reminiscent of Safranbolu, and then provide free time to enjoy the beautiful cafés and taverns. Afterwards, passing through the city of Komotini (Gümülcine), where many Turks also live, we view it panoramically from the bus, pick up the guests staying at the hotel, and set off toward the İpsala border gate. Opportunity to shop at the Greek Freeshop during customs and passport procedures. Arrival in Istanbul via İpsala, Keşan, and Tekirdağ, and the end of our tour. We hope to see you on our next tour…
