We will meet at the Istanbul Airport International Terminal at 03:30 in the morning, followed by our departure to Milan on Turkish Airlines flight TK1873 at 06:50. Upon arrival in Milan at 08:45 local time, we will transfer to Savona port where our ship, COSTA SERENA, will depart. During this full-day tour, after a 1 hour and 15-minute journey by bus waiting for us at Civitavecchia Port, we will arrive in Rome and take a panoramic bus tour. Sights include Castel Sant’Angelo, Tiber River, Borghese Park, Via Veneto, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza della Repubblica, Via Nazionale, Theatre of Marcellus, Circo Massimo, and Forum areas. Afterwards, we explore Rome’s famous squares on foot. Among the sights are Pantheon Square, Navona Square, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps, concluding our tour with a shopping break. Upon arrival in Athens, we will take a panoramic city tour including the Acropolis, Agora, Temple of Zeus, Parliament Building, Syntagma and Omonia Squares, Presidential Mansion, Prime Minister’s Residence, Historical Olympic Stadium, Panepistimiou Boulevards, National Library, and Academy University. On this tour, we visit the Santa Maria Assunta Basilica, which has the third-largest dome in Europe. The outer diameter of this massive basilica is 56.2 meters, and its interior paintings were especially made by painter Giuseppe Cali. We will see a replica of the 200 kg bomb dropped by German Nazi planes during World War II in 1942, which pierced the dome and stuck into the church floor but did not explode, and learn about the church’s interior and exterior architecture. Afterwards, we visit Mdina, Malta’s old capital, a natural set where many scenes of the famous series Game of Thrones were filmed. While walking through the narrow streets of this medieval city known as the Silent City, we will see the magnificent St. Paul Cathedral, the Falson Mansion built by the Falson family, one of Malta’s noble families dating back to the 13th century, the Karmelite Monastery built in Baroque style in the 17th century, Vilhena Palace, and Mdina’s old houses. Then, we continue our tour by visiting the fishing village named "Marsaxlokk". You must not miss the view of the small, cute fishing boats called Luzzo, which are unique to Malta in color and design. Valencia was founded by the Romans and has hosted many different cultures. The region was enriched economically and culturally by the migration of Romans, Visigoths, Berbers, and Aragonese. We will begin this full-day tour by getting to know the tourism paradise of Palma de Mallorca, a city with a population of 300,000. Among the sights are Bellver Castle dating back to the 14th century, the famous Palma Cathedral dating back to the 13th century, and the Almudania Palace next door. After viewing the historic Arena, considered the symbol of the city, panoramically, we will head towards Valdemossa, located in the southwest of the island, also known as the Valley of Moses. In our tour, the magnificent village of Valldemosa, used as a summer residence by kings during the Middle Ages and a resting place for monks, will be our next stop. By getting to know this region and taking plenty of photos, we will have the opportunity to understand the soul of the island. Also, in Valldemossa, we will visit the monastery where the world-famous French composer Chopin and writer George Sand created their finest works, witnessing their emotional stories here. Afterwards, we will go to Aix-en-Provence, located 40 minutes from Marseille. We will start with the famous St. Saviour’s Cathedral, dating back to the 12th century, with its Romanesque front facade and covered arched way. Later, during our pleasant walk in the old part of the city, you will see the ancient inns located here and the Mazarino quarter designed by the brother of Cardinal Mazarino in the 17th century.
