Following our meeting with our guests at the departure points specified in the tour program, we reach the Ipsala Land Border Gate via the Tekirdağ – Malkara – Keşan – Ipsala route, taking the necessary breaks along the way. After completing our exit procedures here, we cross the Meriç River and arrive at the Kipi Land Border Gate in Greece. Following the passport and customs procedures here, we enter Greece.

Day 2: IPSALA – METEORA - IOANNINA

After entering Greece, we take a breakfast break along the way. Following the break, we depart for Meteora. Meteora is a sacred region containing numerous monasteries. During the early periods of Christianity, Orthodox monks built these monasteries, which are also included on the UNESCO World Heritage List, in order to retreat and become closer to God. This region was under the sea millions of years ago; over time, as the waters receded, these enormous rocks emerged, and the monks built their monasteries on the highest points of the rocks. At the time they were built, no means of transportation to the tops of the rocks was possible; the monks reached the monasteries by pulling one another up for years in rope net elevators. Following the tour, we depart for Ioannina. Upon arriving in Ioannina, we begin our city tour. Ioannina, the largest city in the Epirus region, is also known as the city of Ali Pasha of Tepelena. The Aslan Pasha Mosque, built in the name of Ali Pasha, also known as the Governor of Ioannina (the Lion of Ioannina), the Fethiye Mosque, Ali Pasha’s Tomb, the Byzantine Museum, and the Old Town within the Ottoman fortress are among the places we will see. After our city tour, we have free time. Following our free time, we proceed to our hotel for accommodation. Overnight in our hotel in Ioannina.

Day 3: IOANNINA - PARGA – PREVEZA – NAFPAKTOS - PATRAS

After breakfast at the hotel, our first stop is the town of Parga, where Pargalı İbrahim Pasha, the Grand Vizier of Suleiman the Magnificent, was also born. In Parga, whose narrow streets and Ottoman architecture have survived intact to the present day, we take a panoramic city tour. Following our Parga tour, we depart for Preveza. Preveza is remembered in Ottoman history for the naval battle in 1538 between the Ottoman naval forces under the command of Admiral Barbarossa Hayreddin Pasha and the Crusader fleet. After our city tour of Preveza, where we will see its small narrow streets and marina, we have free time. We then proceed to Nafpaktos, known as İnebahtı during the Ottoman period. After free time in Nafpaktos, the site of the Battle of Lepanto in Ottoman history, we depart for Patras, the third-largest city in Greece. Upon arriving in the city, we proceed to our hotel. Overnight in our hotel in Patras.

Day 4: PATRAS – NAFPLION - ATHENS

After breakfast at the hotel, we complete our check-out procedures, leave the hotel, and depart for Nafplion, the first capital of Greece after it gained independence. According to legend, Nafplion was founded by Nafplios, the son of Poseidon, God of the Seas, and Danaos Amymone, Princess of Argos. During our Nafplion city tour, the Bourtzi Fortress built in the sea, Greece’s first parliament building, Three Admirals Square, and its colorful houses adorned with flowers are among the places to be seen. After the city tour and free time, we depart for Athens, the capital of Greece. We take a break at the Corinth Canal along the way. After seeing this 6.5-kilometer-long artificial canal, which separates Greece’s northern mainland from the Peloponnese Peninsula and connects the Aegean and Ionian Seas, we arrive in Athens. Upon arrival, we begin our Athens city tour. The Agora, Temple of Zeus (panoramic view), Parliament Building, Syntagma and Omonia Squares, Presidential Palace and Prime Minister’s Residence, Historic Olympic Stadium, Panepistimiou Boulevards, National Library, and Academy of Athens are among the places to be seen. Following the panoramic city tour, free time is provided for sightseeing and shopping throughout the day. We then check in to our hotel. Overnight in our hotel in Athens.

Day 5: ATHENS – THESSALONIKI

After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Thessaloniki, the second-largest city in Greece. Upon arriving in Thessaloniki, we take our city tour. The main places to be seen during the panoramic city tour include the waterfront promenade, White Tower, Turning Tower, Exhibition Center, Thessaloniki Fortress, Heptapyrgion, Arch of Galerius, Rotunda, Bey Hamam, Hamza Bey Mosque, Church of Saint Dimitrios, the statue of Alexander the Great, and Atatürk’s House. We then have free time. Following our free time, we proceed to our hotel. In the evening, guests who wish may join the tavern tour organized as an optional extra (Tavern Tour: €55). Our tavern tour includes dinner with limited beverages, accompanied by surprises and shows. Following our tavern tour, we return to the hotel. Overnight in our hotel in Thessaloniki.

Day 6: THESSALONIKI – KAVALA – PORTO LAGOS - ISTANBUL

After breakfast at the hotel, we complete our check-out procedures, leave our hotel, and depart for Kavala. One of the most important centers of Western Thrace, Kavala dates back to the 600s BC. Founded under the name Neapolis (New City) by immigrants from the Greek island of Thasos, the city remained Ottoman territory from 1387 to 1912. Today, Greeks make up a large portion of the city’s population. In particular, during the population exchange that took place in 1923, Greeks living in Cappadocia were settled here. Upon arriving in Kavala, we begin our panoramic city tour. Among the places to visit and see in Kavala is the Old Town, known as Panagia. The first place we will see on our way to the Old Town is the Church of Saint Nicholas. The mosque built by Suleiman the Magnificent in 1530 in the name of İbrahim Pasha was converted into a bell tower and a church in 1926 by shortening its minaret, and Christian mosaics were added to its front. Other historical places we will see during our tour include Kavala Castle, the house of Muhammad Ali of Egypt, the imaret, now used as a hotel, the aqueduct, and the Old Town within the castle. After our Kavala city tour, we depart for Porto Lagos. We will walk across the bridge built over Lake Vistonida and visit the Church of Agios Nikolaos. After a photo break overlooking the lake, we depart for the Kipi Land Border Gate in Greece. Upon arrival, we complete our passport and customs procedures, have the opportunity to shop at the duty-free store, and depart for the Ipsala Land Border Gate. Following the passport and customs procedures, we head toward Istanbul via the Keşan – Tekirdağ – Silivri highway. After a meal break in Tekirdağ along the route (with the opportunity to taste the famous Tekirdağ meatballs), we continue to Istanbul. Upon arriving in Istanbul, we drop our guests off at the points included in the tour program (along the return route) and conclude our tour. We hope to meet you in our next organizations…
